Old Californian Revival

Project Description

Pebble Beach California is renowned for its spectacular coastline views, lavish forests, and exquisitely challenging golf courses. This is the backdrop to the CA revival project adjacent to golf greens and shoreline views of Monterey Bay.

Originally built in the 1930’s, the remodel project was taken down to a remaining few walls to preserve the building footprint. The goal was to embellish the Old CA architectural style celebrating the splendor and décor of that period. We collaborated with the contractor and client to design, select and specify all the construction finishes, and during the build worked onsite for construction observation and design direction. Our scope included vision, space planning and design drawings for the kitchen, new upstairs guest suite and the master suite area. Outdoor living spaces were a client priority which we assisted on the design of fountain and firepit custom tile embellishments. Included in the project are hand forged iron lighting and painted tiles throughout. To complete the project, we selected and installed custom bench seating, woven window treatments and international area rugs, as well collaborated with the client’s furnishings. The result is a peaceful retreat whereby the clients and guests will enjoy beautiful and comfortable surroundings for years to come.
